Alicia graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997. After working in acute care for 2 years, she took a side job working in home health for extra money. After caring for patients on the home health side, she quickly appreciated the significant challenges patients face when leaving the hospital. There is a clear and definite need for home health and hospice services. Finding that poor retention of patient education and socioeconomic factors often led to higher rehospitalizations, she was led to the field of home and community-based services.
In 2002, she committed to home health full time and joined IntegraCare Home Health as Clinical Supervisor. Over the course of her tenure with IntegraCare, she was promoted to various leadership positions with increasing levels of responsibility. During this time, IntegraCare expanded through private equity funding and was eventually sold to Kindred in 2012. She was also charged with the development of the Kindred DFW Integrated Market after the Kindred acquisition. She concluded her career at IntegraCare in 2014 as Area Vice President of Operations, overseeing 20 home health and hospice locations.
She assumed the Director of Home & Community Based Services position at Cantex Continuing Care Network (CCCN) in 2014. This role was responsible for all operational, clinical, billing, and sales aspects of the division. During her four-year tenure at CCCN, the network grew through de novo and acquisition opportunities from 3 sites to 12 sites, 8 home health, and 4 hospice. She also developed a patient transition platform within the skilled nursing facility continuum, developed cardiac wellness and palliative care programs, and improved patient outcomes to a 5-Star rating with the achievement of HomeCare Elite status.
In November 2019, she assumed the CEO position at Excelin Home Health; multi-site home health, hospice, and private duty company with operations in Texas and California. In the midst of regulatory and financial changes in our industry accompanied by a worldwide healthcare crisis, we have become more aware of the need to use technology to support best clinical practices. The healthcare needs of our patients have not changed. Home care is needed even more than before. Through leadership at Excelin, she remains committed to those patients who need this essential benefit.
Matt has 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in financial leadership roles in the home care and hospice industry, including 10 years CFO experience. His previous experience includes CFO at Harbor Light Hospice and VP of Financial Planning & Analysis for Traditions Health. Matt provides financial, accounting, and operational leadership to the organization. Matt is a CPA and holds an MBA and BS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University.
Kristen Schievelbein is the President of Operations, Texas for Excelin Healthcare. Kristen has more than 21 years of healthcare experience. She has spent most of her career in home health care performing various roles and increasing responsibility, starting as a Case Manager and growing into roles such as Employee Trainer, Branch Manager, Administrator, Regional Director of Operations, and now President of Operations for Excelin’s Texas locations. Kristen has been closely involved with centralization projects for Excelin and actively manages operational initiatives.
Mrs. Schievelbein acquired her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center. A mother of 2, Kristen also enjoys travel, music, and adventures with her immediate and extended family.
Alicia Manning is the President of Operations, Louisiana for Excelin Healthcare. Alicia has more than 13 years in healthcare experience. She started out in the hospital setting but had a love for home health since her community-based rotation in nursing school. Since 2012 Alicia has had several roles in the home health setting, starting as field nurse, preceptor, Branch Manager, Director of Nursing, Administrator and now President of Operations for Excelin’s Louisiana locations.
Ms. Manning acquired her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Nicholls State University. A mother of 3, Alicia also enjoys crafting, music and fellowshipping with her family and friends.
Kristi Halva is the President of Operations, California for Excelin Healthcare. Kristi has 30 years of healthcare experience. She has spent most of her career in home health care performing various roles and increasing responsibility, starting as a Case Manager and growing into roles such as a Branch Director, Administrator, Regional Director of Sales, and now President of Operations for Excelin’s California locations. Kristi has a broad view of the health care continuum as a clinician, an operator and strategic salesperson.
Kristi’s primary focus, regardless of her role, is the patient. She has appreciated the care of her own family through home health and knows it is invaluable. In addition, to her passion for home health, she is also a mother of 3, enjoys the arts, sailing and traveling.
Karen has over 20 years of healthcare human resources experience. Prior to joining Excelin earlier this year Karen worked with large corporations acting in various leadership roles. She recently worked at Kindred at Home where she was the AVP of Human Resources for the South-Central region. Karen also worked with Amedisys where she was the human resources business partner to the Personal Care Division. Karen has been instrumental in implementing centralized HR processes and systems. With Karen’s diverse experience and her proven track record in Home Health centralization she is an asset in Excelin’s continued growth.
Shauntae Davidson is the Director of Growth and Strategy for Excelin Healthcare. Shauntae has 20 plus years of experience in sales, operations, and leadership, with areas of expertise in revenue growth, strategic initiatives, process development and improvement, and team building, making her a crucial part of Excellin’s growth. Shauntae also has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, advertising, and talent acquisition.
Shauntae graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Shauntae is a mother of four and two dogs. She also has one perfect granddaughter. She enjoys traveling to spend time outside of work.
Mildred Anderson is the Director of Compliance for Excelin Healthcare. Mildred has more than 23 years of healthcare experience. She has spent most of her career in various roles such as Director of Compliance, Director of Medicare Services, and Director of Utilization Review. Mrs. Anderson acquired her Master’s degree in Healthcare Services Administration and Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Mississippi College. To complement this education, she also holds certifications in healthcare compliance and coding. Mildred’s areas of expertise include healthcare compliance, regulatory compliance, revenue compliance, denial management, coding, and data analysis. Mildred’s career goal continues to be the promotion of organizational integrity and stability through the development and operation of innovative, individualized, and effective compliance programs.
